Most buyers only need our $129 desk-based verification report — that catches the vast majority of scams and factory-vs-trader mismatches. But some deals are big enough, or messy enough, that you want boots on the floor, a contract Chinese courts will actually enforce, or someone to sit across from the factory owner and speak Chinese. Every service beyond the report is scoped to your deal — the prices below are starting points, and we'll always tell you honestly whether you need it.
There are three ways to buy from China: deal direct with a factory from abroad, hand it to a trading company, or use FactoryChecker as your local team on the ground.
Going factory direct looks cheap, but you're managing a supplier you've never visited, often in a language you don't speak, with no enforceable contract if something goes wrong. Trading companies feel safer, but most don't control the factory, hide their margin in the unit price, and rarely do real due diligence. We operate like an extension of your business — experienced people in China who speak the language, understand the legal system, and report only to you.
What you pay to get started
We cost more upfront because you're paying for real expertise, not a referral.
Margin baked into the price later
Direct orders still leak money to misquoted specs, silent upgrades, and rework. Traders hide margin in the unit price. We charge a clear fee and nothing else.
Who actually controls the relationship
*Only if you can be on the floor in China. We give you that control without the flight.
Chance of wrong specs or silent substitution
Ordering a factory you've never visited is high risk; traders rarely inspect properly. We manage QC on site.
Enforceable contract + local recourse if things go wrong
Chinese courts enforce Chinese-law contracts with the right chop and entity. We make sure yours does.
Total cost across repeat production runs
Via us, lower quality risk and full transparency drive your real production costs down over time. The upfront fee is usually recovered in the first run.
Start here. A full desk-based due-diligence dossier on any Chinese supplier — business licence, legal scope, judicial history, ownership, export record, certifications, online reputation, and a clean go / no-go recommendation from a China-based analyst. Nine buyers out of ten never need anything else.
This is our main service, and the one we ask you to try first. If we can't answer your question from the desk, we'll tell you exactly which of the below services makes sense — and often the answer is "none, wire the money."
Order a report — $129 →Secure Stripe checkout · one-time payment · report emailed within 72 hours.
Every report includes a risk score and a signed analyst recommendation.
Our inspector drives to the factory address on the business licence, walks the floor, signs a report on the spot, and comes back with geo-tagged photos and video. We confirm the place is a real production site — not a showroom, a co-working space, or a photo studio using someone else's line.
Best for: first orders over about $10,000, custom moulds, or any deal where the desk report can't confirm the factory owns its own production capacity. Every visit is scoped to your deal — let's talk before we quote.
Talk to us about a visit →Guangdong / Zhejiang covered flat rate. Outside those provinces we quote travel transparently — no markup.
Everything geo-tagged, timestamped, and signed by the visiting inspector.
A US or UK contract signed by a Chinese factory is, for practical purposes, decorative. Chinese courts enforce contracts written in Chinese, under Chinese law, sealed with the correct official company chop, and pointing at the right legal entity — not the trading affiliate you were emailing with.
We draft bilingual purchase and manufacturing contracts that name the real entity from the business licence, apply the right chop, and set jurisdiction in a court that will actually take your case. Every contract is scoped to your deal — tell us what you're buying and we'll quote back.
Talk to us about a contract →Drafted with a China-qualified lawyer. Typical turnaround 5–7 business days.
Practical, enforceable — not a translated Western template.
You fly in. We've already done the homework. Itinerary, driver, translator, hotel recs, and optional on-floor QC or a China-qualified lawyer on the day. Everything priced pass-through — you see what the driver, translator, and hotel actually cost. We don't take supplier kickbacks, ever.
Best for: buyers visiting 3–8 factories in Shenzhen / Dongguan / Guangzhou / Yiwu / Ningbo in a single trip, and anyone who's tired of being "shown around" by the supplier's own English-speaking sales manager. Every tour is scoped and quoted before you commit.
Talk to us about a tour →Typical 3-day / 5-factory itinerary lands at $1,400–$1,900 all-in.
Independent — you're paying us, so we work for you, not the factory.
Something has already gone wrong. The deposit is gone, the wrong product shipped, the factory is stalling, or the supplier suddenly can't find the WeChat account you were speaking to for six months. We show up in person, in Chinese, with the file in hand — a signed report, a business licence, and the buyer's chop-stamped contract.
This is the service that changes the tone of the conversation. Recovery isn't guaranteed — nothing in China is — but this is the fastest, cheapest step before formal litigation. Free 30-minute intake call first, so we can tell you honestly whether it's worth the fee.
Talk to us about your case →No supplier kickbacks — we're on your side of the table, always.
In-person visit, in Chinese, with real leverage in the file.
Most buyers we work with never need anything beyond the verification report. Every service above is customised to your deal, so the fastest way to a real quote is a quick conversation — tell us what you're buying, from whom, and what's already gone right or wrong.
